SRO Renewal Initiative Public Private Partnership Project
Maintain Public Private Partnership Project (P3) was developed by BC Housing with a federal funding contribution of $30 million to renovate thirteen heritage buildings, including four on the National Historic Register, in Downtown Vancouver. These buildings provide much needed housing for over 900 very low income people facing multiple barriers to permanent affordable housing.
This project has been recognized with the following awards:
- 2017 Heritage BC Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Conservation
- Multiple City of Vancouver Heritage Awards
- Gold for Best Social Infrastructure Project at the 2014 P3 Awards
- 2013 Silver Award for Innovation & Excellence in Social Housing Innovation from the Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships
