Due Diligence Review of Northlands 2020/Portfolio Review of Specific City Owned Assets

Monica Morgan worked with the City of Edmonton and key city staff in various departments under the leadership of the City Manager’s Office to undertake a Due Diligence Review of the Northlands Vision 2020 Business Plan. Northlands is a 160-acre city owned site in NE Edmonton that for many years included the Northlands Coliseum, EXPO Centre, Northlands Racetrack and K-Days. With construction of a new hockey arena in downtown Edmonton and relocation of the Edmonton Oilers hockey team, the non-profit Northlands Society created a proposal to revitalize the site that included a restriction on events at the old Coliseum. The due diligence review included a review of the proposed governance and operations model.
